Mark:We are live in Cleveland, Ohio… This is Monday Night Madness…

(“Break It Down” plays in the arena…)

Rhino:What is going on here?

Mark:They arent suppose to be out here…

Rhino:Then why are they coming out here?

Mark:Im not sure… As I am looking here at the rundown and it says me and you should be promoting tonights show…

Rhino:I guess Degeneration X have other plans…

Mark:I guess they do as Triple H and Shawn Michaels just entered the ring and have a couple of microphones so I guess this is where we turn it over to them…

Rhino:I suppose so…

HHH:Well here we are Shawn… Cleveland, Ohio…

HBK:This is the home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…

HHH:It is…

HBK:This is the home of the Cleveland Browns…

HHH:It is…

HBK:This is also tonights home for the Extreme Wrestling Alliance!

Crowd:EWA…EWA…EWA!

HHH:Now Shawn… You and I arent suppose to be out here… I can already assume Mark and Rhino were freaking out when we came out here and interrupted their introduction for tonights show…

HBK:They are probably busy looking over their run sheets going what the hell is going on here…

Rhino:Thats exactly what we did…

HHH:Well there is a reason for that… Which is why I am going to ask that Mark and Rhino… You two grab your rundows and just tear them up…

Rhino:Did he just say tear them up?

Mark:Yes he did…

HHH:I want all the producers backstage to tear up their rundowns up as well… Director in the truck… You do the same… Because what everyone expected to happen here tonight… Wont happen…

Rhino:What is he talking about?

Mark:Im not sure…

HHH:You see since Shawn and I took over we have had to make a few interesting decisions regarding the roster around this place…

HBK:As a matter of fact we have had to look up and down this roster and wonder who is tough enough to actually compete for this company… And over the last couple of weeks… We have been pushing the buttons of a few people… Like Mr. Anderson to see if he had what it took to actually hang here in the Extreme Wrestling Alliance and well… Lets just say earlier today… Mr. Anderson came in to our office… Bitching and moaning about the treatment we have been giving him…

HHH:He really was a big cry baby…

HBK:So Hunter and I did what anyone in our position would do… We gave him two options… Get over himself or hit the bricks… And since he didnt want to get over himself… Well… Mr. Anderson is no longer apart of the roster right now…

HHH:Also in the process… Shawn and I were looking over different contracts and we saw that some of them were up… And well… Those deals were not renewed at this time… Which means here tonight you will be seeing the last of a few superstars…

HBK:But being the fair guys that Hunter and I are… Since we are going to be letting a few people go… We could have done this a couple of ways… Just cancelled the entire show… Or we could do something interesting with this show…

HHH:And even being the good guys that we are… We may even hire back a person or two if they come out here tonight and actually impress us…

HBK:Quite possibly…Now the reason why Hunter told you to throw out the rundown guys is this… We arent going to be having all of the One on One Matches schedule for tonight… In fact tonights Main Event is now EWA World Heavyweight Champion Big Daddy Ace taking on Brock Lesnar… That match up is staying… Everyone else on the roster… Well… Is getting a chance…

Rhino:A chance at what?

HHH:Somewhere Rhino just said a chance at what…

HBK:Well thats a simple answer… Tonight we are opening up this show with a battle royal for the Number One Contendership for the EWA World Heavyweight Championship… So instead of seeing Alan Matthews and Bully Ray fight for it… We are throwing everyone in to a battle royal and the winner of this battle royal will get the next shot at the EWA World Heavyweight Championship at Nightmare on EWA Boulevard…

Mark:Thats major news…

HBK:Now I know everyone was looking forward to the return of the Heartbreak Hotel… Well… Bad news… It wont happen tonight… I did however invite William McConnell to show up at Nightmare on EWA Boulevard to reschedule his appearance on the Heartbreak Hotel…. We shall see if he accepts my invite or not…That said… We should get out of this ring and give everyone a chance to compete for a shot at the EWA World Heavyweight Championship… So lets get to the Battle Royal! Mark and Rhino… Take it Away!

Rhino:Thanks guys…

Mark:Well looks like we have ourselves a battle royal to open up the show tonight…

Mark:Alan Matthews goes right after both men and nails them with a double clothesline…

Rhino:Bully Ray is getting to his feet…
