Broken Seasons Beatings 2016

Kent:Good Evening and welcome inside the brand new EWA Television Studios here in Atlanta, Georgia here at EWA HQ… My name is Kent Richardson… What a year 2016 was for the Extreme Wrestling Alliance… We had a personal rivalry that turned in to what was a true power struggle between the Wyatt Family and Triple H… Which saw Shane McMahon lose power and control of the EWA to the Wyatt Family back in May of this year and at Glory… With some help from Degeneration X… Shane McMahon once again regained power from the Wyatt Family… That however was not the only power struggle we saw… As for the last couple of months a legal battle has taken place between Shane McMahon and MHB Inc… Which we learned a couple of weeks back was indeed the one and only Matt Hardy who has bought in to the Extreme Wrestling Alliance and has apparently taken over as match maker of the EWA going forward… What was left up in the air the last time we were live on the air who were the champions of the Extreme Wrestling Alliance… After footage was finally released we learned who our champions were… Which of course saw The Rock as the new FTW Champion… Josh Stewart and Big Daddy Ace capture the EWA Tag Team Championships and Subway once again as the EWA World Heavyweight Champion… As we head in to the year 2017… We must look back at what was the final event of 2016 and that being Seasons Beatings… Which took place live from Tampa, Florida on December 23rd… Joining me here in Studio is one of the men who was there to call the action for the EWA Television Network Rhino… Welcome…

Rhino:Thanks for having me…

Kent:What do you think of the setup we have going here?

Rhino:It looks really good… Really like the nice video wall that is setup behind us…

Kent:It is a 300 inch 4k HD Video Wall that has been installed here in the studio…

Rhino:The rebuild has gone pretty well then…

Kent:Yes it has… So you were there in person for Seasons Beatings… What was your overall impression of the show?

Rhino:Well Kent… The show had some ups and downs… You can tell some of the talent needed a little bit of time to get back in to the swing of things… As it had been a little bit over a month since they actually were in the ring… Because of the power struggle and everything that happened here at EWA HQ…

Kent:It was a bit of a rebuilding process that we have gone in the last few months following Glory… But you were there for Seasons Beatings…

Rhino:Broken Seasons Beatings…

Kent:That is right… Broken Seasons Beatings… The show kicked off with two former EWA World Heavyweight Champions doing battle as it was Big Daddy Ace and Tyler Breeze…

Rhino:They really went at it…

Kent:Yes they did… We are going to take you to the conclusion of the match up… These two men had been battling hard for about ten minutes and where we pick this match up where both men are fighting up the ramp…

Mark:Big Daddy Ace and Tyler Breeze are trading shots on the ramp right now…

Rhino:They are just slugging it out…

Mark:Big Daddy Ace with a hard knee right to the midsection of Tyler Breeze…

Rhino:Tyler Breeze is slow to get back up on to his feet…

Mark:Big Daddy Ace charges… SPEAR!

Rhino:He drove Tyler Breeze right in to the entrance ramp…

Mark:The referee just called for the bell…

Rhino:What just happened?

Mark:Im not sure exactly what just happened as the referee is talking things over with the PA Announcer right now…

Rhino:Tyler Breeze is trying to crawl up the ramp right now…

Mark:Looks like we are going to hear the official word right now…

PA Announcer:The referee has counted both men out and this match up has been ruled a DRAW!

Rhino:They forgot about the referee’s ten count…

Mark:Big Daddy Ace seems a bit annoyed by this countout…

Rhino:Tyler Breeze is back up on to his feet…

Mark:Big Daddy Ace looks over at Tyler Breeze…

Rhino:Watch out…

Mark:SPEAR! NO! SUPERMODEL KICK!

Rhino:Big Daddy Ace came charging in and Tyler Breeze out of the corner of his eye saw it coming…

Mark:Lets get another shot at of that if we can from the people in the truck…Alright here it is from the other angle… You can see Tyler Breeze peak his head around and saw Big Daddy Ace coming…

Rhino:That was great awareness from Tyler Breeze…

Mark:Indeed it was…

Kent:Well as we saw there… Things weren’t settled there between Big Daddy and Tyler Breeze after that battle…

Rhino:The double count-out didnt sit well with Big Daddy Ace…

Kent:No it didnt… We were told following the match up that Big Daddy Ace was checked for a concussion and it came back negative… But the EWA Medical staff was indeed worried over it so they checked Big Daddy Ace out after he got to the back…

Rhino:Any sort of brain injury is nothing to joke about that is for sure so it is good to see that our company was out in front of it just to make sure everything was okay…

Kent:I would agree with you there Rhino… Leading in to Broken Seasons Beatings the one thing that was missing was the Holiday Bowl and we heard that Lone Jobber was campaigning to people behind the scenes to get the Holiday Bowl reinstated for this years Broken Seasons Beatings… It turns out Rhino… His campaigning worked…

Rhino:Who knew that when Lone Jobber campaigns for something he actually get it…

Kent:Novel concept…So it was the Holiday Bowl featuring CM Punk… Finn Balor and Lone Jobber… Can you the people an idea of what we saw go down during the Holiday Bowl…

Rhino:Like most Holiday Bowls… We see the Usual Christmas Tree and Christmas Gifts… We saw a giant menorah for Hanukkah… We saw everything you could possibly think of it… But the one thing that really stuck out to me in this match up Kent… Was the ending which featured something I never thought I would really ever see…

Kent:Are you talking about the item that Lone Jobber brought down to ringside…

Rhino:That is exactly the item I am talking about…

Kent:For those of you who didn’t see it… Here is the item in question and how this match up went down… It was the Holiday Bowl featuring Lone Jobber… Finn Balor and CM Punk…

Mark:CM Punk was just taken out with a Candy Cane shot by Finn Balor…

Rhino:Looks like CM Punk is down for the count at the moment…As he is down on the outside of the ring…

Mark:Lone Jobber spins Finn Balor around… DDT!

Rhino:He is going over to the item that was covered here at ringside…

Rhino:I have no clue…

Rhino:Lone Jobber just won the 2016 Holiday Bowl…

Mark:What a win for Mr. Holiday himself…The Lone Jobber… Lone Jobber…

Kent:I must say Rhino, I have never ever see a Gold Coin Table in my life…

Rhino:That was indeed a first for sure…

Kent:One the more controversial moments of Broken Seasons Beatings was the FTW Championship Match up which featured Josh Stewart challenging The Rock for the championship… There are a few things we need to talk about the match up but first things first was the reaction for The Rock… It seemed to me that we know the audience really enjoys The Rock… But I heard some boos from the crowd that I don’t think even The Rock expected to hear…

Rhino:I think at one point there were a very vocal fans who were trying to start even a Rocky Sucks Chant…

Kent:It shows the supporters that Josh Stewart has since returning back to the EWA after his disappearance as it were…

Rhino:That is a good way to put it… A Disappearance…

Kent:One of the big moments of the match up was a really close near fall in the match up where we all thought Josh Stewart was about to become the FTW Champion… Lets take a look at that moment first…

Mark:The Rock is very dazed as he is trying to stagger of up on to his feet…

Rhino:The momentum has built up in the favor of the challenger right now…

Mark:Josh Stewart charges at the ropes… RETURN OF THE STEW!

Rhino:What a kick that was!

Mark:Josh Stewart hooks the leg 1……………2……….3………… ITS OVER! Wait NO!

Rhino:The Rock got his other leg on the bottom rope…

Mark:The referee is telling Josh Stewart exactly what happened…

Rhino:He heard the Three Count and believes he is the FTW Champion…

Kent:That was a tremendous moment in the match up Rhino…

Rhino:I really thought he had the FTW Championship won at that point…

Kent:There was a moment in the match up as well where Josh Stewart was on the verge of tapping out to the Sharpshooter… It was at the point where the referee had to check on Josh Stewart to see if he was going to pass out…

Rhino:That moment had me on the edge of my seat to be honest…

Kent:In the end Josh Stewart managed to get to the ropes and the hold had been broken by the official… We then took it to the end of the match up that may go down a little controversial…

Mark:The Rock comes away retaining the FTW Championship but he was holding the tights…

Rhino:Josh Stewart is telling the referee exactly what happened…

Mark:The Rock is walking out of here though with the championship…

Kent:Like I said it ended in controversy… The Rock using the tights to keep the championship…

Rhino:Not what we would expect out of The Rock…

Kent:The Rock was pushed to his limits by Josh Stewart and he did what he could to get the victory and retain his championship…

Rhino:I am curious to hear from The Rock why he did what he did…

Kent:Now something we werent expecting… Was the unexpected appearance from Degeneration X!

Rhino:I was not expecting to hear from DX…

Kent:Switching gears, to our Main Event it was Subway defending the EWA World Heavyweight Championship against Colt Cabana…

Rhino:I will give Colt Cabana all the credit in the world in this match up Kent… He stepped up to the plate and brought his A game against the EWA World Champion Subway…

Kent:Subway though came in to the match up injured as a result of the attack from Brock Lesnar a few days prior to the show…

Rhino:I wasnt sure if he was going to even be able to compete…

Kent:We were told he came in to the match up with a couple of bruised ribs thanks to Brock Lesnar… But those bruise ribs didn’t stop Subway from competing or even retaining his EWA World Heavyweight Championship… As we take you to the conclusion on this contest…
