(Footage begins to air on Hardcore Theatre…The camera fades in to a dark cemetery at the darkest hour. It is barely visible out as rain pours down on the gravestones. You can only see silhouettes as thunder roars. A lightning bolt lights up the graveyard and reveals a body slumped up against one of the tombstones. You eyes adjust to the darkness again after the bright flash. More thunder roars through the night.)
VOICE OVER:HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
(Lightning flashes again to reveal the person slumped against the tombstone is gone.)

(Rustling around is heard through the laughter. Lightning strikes again to see the camera being bobbled around by an unknown person. Thunder roars and the rain comes down harder. Lightning lights up the cemetery once more and its now known that the camera has been knocked to the ground and is laying on its side.)
VOICE ( from behind the camera): What would you be if you were standing in another’s shoes? What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and all your luxuries were gone? Vanished into thin air? What if you never knew those luxuries to begin with? No one ever cares for the less fortunate. What would you be if you had real problems? Not this ‘I can’t afford my mochachino from Starbucks’ problems that most people have. Not the type of problems that most sheltered people have. Starbucks coffee going for $6 a cup and yet people complain that gas is at $4 a gallon. Ah the way people prioritize. Its kind of a sad thing to watch what society does to people. What ever big brother says goes. People must have perfect hair and not an ounce of fat on their body or forever be mocked by society. Heaven forbid you didn’t have the picture perfect Pleasantville childhood. Heaven forbid your father was an abusive drunk. Heaven forbid he attacked you and left you with a scar. A scar right out in the open, no way to hide it. The ridicule you’d have to endure. You don’t know what that’s like do you? You don’t know what its like to be different because all everyone does is try to fit in. Fit in to the little box that society makes for you. And for what? We all die in the end of the story anyway. Why struggle and fight for the others’ acceptance? To be one of society’s elite? Who are they anyway? All this talk over who’s better than the other, who looks better, who has more money, who has more possessions. Why? All those things are temporary. So why do people fight so hard for it instead of purifying something that you keep forever? Am I insane? Or am I the only one who isn’t brain washed by this society? You know the Germans tried to make everyone the same. The world flipped out leading to probably one of the deadliest wars in modern history. How is it different from the media? How are the media any different than Nazi Germans? Good people are dying because of these schemers. Teenage girls starving themselves to death because the media says your not a size 0 you’re not pretty. Guys pumping performance enhancing drugs up their ass to get an edge on competition because the media says second place means you’re a loser. It hits right down to this very company. The extreme wrestling alliance. Ah the fond old memories here. The blood baths with Triple H. The glory. The heartache. The laughter. The sorrow. Ah what a roller coaster ride. We have shells of former super stars afraid to show what they really have because a guy in a suit tells them it may be too risky. Steroid freaks because good just isn’t that damn good enough anymore. What ever happened to the people like myself? The people like the Ric Flairs? The Ricky the Dragons? The guys who went out and worked hard to be the best despite being under sized? They didn’t need oversized muscles. I don’t need to stick myself to get by. Heck even guys who weren’t even that athletic. People who just had the heart and the balls to come out and brawl with all they had… Guys who raised the bar to the next level night in night out just for the roar of the crowd… Guys who weren’t out there for the fame and riches like todays superstars… Extreme hardcore legends like Terry Funk and Subway… Yeah… I remember Subway as well… As you know, much like Triple H, Subway and myself have had a pretty checkered past. But the point is we don’t try to fit into the box that society tries to stuff us in.. We don’t need performance enhancer’s. Why? Because we are a dying breed. We are the last of those with actual talent. Today it seems so far and few between. Just a bunch of hoss meatheads with bandages taped to every vein available. Sickening. I mean look at all these things. Its about enough to drive anyone….. Insane…

It once defined this company, it drove us all to be better at what we do. But that’s changed, hasn’t it? Who wants to make a few sacrifices, right? I sit back.. And I look at Glory and I try to think of the positives that came out of it.. And I continue to realise just how depressing of a state the EWA is in. So as I was pondering what I was going to do next, I was told that I was to come out here tonight and give a “State of the EWA Address”. I did one of these last year. And I promised change would come to this company. But I made a mistake. Because I tried changing things at the very top, not at the foundation. Tonight, I rectify that mistake. Tonight.. I officially resign as Commissioner of the EWA.
Mark: What?!
Rhino: What is that going to accomplish?
McConnell: My biggest problem with this company is that those in power continue to use it for themselves. And I have been accused time and time again of doing the exact same. Now? I have no power. Everything I do will have more purpose and more impact because I can simply be.. Brushed away by the powers that be. That said, this isn’t the only change tonight. I want to make it absolutely clear that there is no “Answer” in the EWA. There are no more five star superkicks or perfect ten frogsplashes. You two hear me?

McConnell: You call them what they are. I’m tired of this glamoured up crap you two spew into your headsets and into the ears of the people at home. There are no more nicknames, there are no more gimmicks. The only thing I have is what you see before. My name is William McConnell and I am a wrestler. I am doing what no man in this company has the balls to do and I am going to start from scratch. I am tearing away the fantasy of this company that so many are unable to escape.
