HBK:The last few months have been very difficult for me… As I have been dealing with this injury that I suffered at the hands of the one and only, Subway…

HBK:You see, This has very hard on me and my family… As it has taken me back to a place I never thought I would go.. As back in 1998 I suffered a back injury that basically ended my career… Before I arrived here in the Extreme Wrestling Alliance… For years I dealt with the pain, even when the doctors told me that I should never signed with the company in the first place… They told me that one day, I could end up suffering an injury to my back, that I would never be able to recover from…And right now I am this point where, I need to think about my family, along with my legacy in this business and I dont want to come back and tarnish this legacy, by wrestling injured. Over the last few months, I have been able to recover some mobility, but I am still suffering daily pain in my back, which why I am confined to this wheel chair that I am sitting in today…I am proud of my legacy and I dont want to be a burden on this industry any longer, which is why I am out here tonight, in front of my fans… To announce that I am no longer going to compete here in the Extreme Wrestling Alliance… As the pain is too much to deal with and I rather not be remember as the guy who hung around too long nor the guy who was last seen in a wheel chair… I promise you… When you see me again… Even though it wont be in this ring… I will no longer be confined to this wheel chair… But I will be retired…
